Solihull Moors are delighted to announce the signing of attacking wide player Junior Tiensia ahead of the 2026/27 National League season, subject to league and FA approval. A familiar face to Moors supporters, Tiensia returns to Damson Park following a previous spell with the Club in 2023. The exciting wide player joins from Wealdstone and adds further quality and depth to Chris Millington's squad ahead of the new campaign. Known for his pace and attacking threat, Tiensia becomes the latest addition to the Moors as preparations continue for the 2026/27 season. Chris Millington, First Team Manager, said: “Junior's versatility is clearly a benefit but the reason we have worked so hard to sign him at Moors is for the attacking threat he carries. Moors will give Junior the platform to display that attacking threat, utilising his pace and trickery he will add a great deal of creativity to our play." Everyone at Solihull Moors would like to welcome Junior back to the Club and wish him every success in blue and yellow.

Solihull Moors are delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Jamie Andrews ahead of the 2026/27 season, subject to league and FA approval. Andrews began his career at West Bromwich Albion, where he progressed through the Club's academy before signing his first professional contract in July 2021. The midfielder gained valuable senior experience during loan spells with Leamington FC and Yeovil Town, starting every game during his time with the Glovers. Following both loans, Andrews was recalled by West Brom and made his first-team debut in January 2023, starting in the Baggies' 4-0 FA Cup victory over Chesterfield. He joined Woking on a permanent deal in the summer of 2024 and went on to make 53 appearances, including 38 starts, for the Cardinals last season. Chris Millington, First Team Manager, said: "Jamie is a player who adds quality and energy to the midfield area; he's shown that he can perform consistently at National League level and, at 23, we believe there's still plenty more to come from him. We're delighted to have him on board." Speaking on the move, Andrews said: "I’m delighted to be here. As soon as I spoke to the Gaffer and heard the direction he wants to go in, I was very keen on getting it done. This move is important to me because it’s my hometown club and where all my family have been brought up. I can’t wait to show everyone what I can bring to the team and have a successful season." Andrews becomes the fourth addition to Millington's squad this summer and everyone at Solihull Moors would like to welcome Jamie to the Club and wish him every success.

First of all, the Club would like to thank the FA for the speed of its investigation and the openness and transparency with which the process was conducted. The Club also agrees with the statement published by the FA, in so far as it goes. Indeed, we wholeheartedly support a zero-tolerance approach to all forms of racism and the need for the football community to continue its journey to eradicate this scourge from our game. However, false claims of racism do not positively serve this objective in any way and hence due care should always be taken when responding to any allegation in such a sensitive situation. We accept that the FA is also in a difficult position in having to opine regarding on-pitch incidents, which happen in a split second and are not directly football related. Therefore, we are delighted that the correct and just verdict has been delivered and Conor Wilkinson’s innocence has been confirmed. However, the Club does have unanswered questions as to both how the events unfolded on the day and whether the current FA protocols are completely fit for purpose. Those involved in the incident on the day, including many players from both Solihull Moors and Boston United, believe that the incident could and should have been handled very differently and this would have avoided the disruption to the game and the widespread negative publicity, especially on social media, which followed. Specifically, because of the manner in which the match officials chose to handle the incident, including taking the players off the pitch, Conor Wilkinson has been subjected to abuse on social media and had his reputation sullied. The reality is that Conor was adjudged as guilty of making a racist comment towards the referee. The alleged comment was communicated to the referee by the assistant referee who was some 30 yards away from the incident. The referee then acted as if it was beyond doubt that a racist remark had been made despite at least 5 players on both sides being much closer to the incident and those players absolutely confirming that no racist comment was made by Conor. I do question why the referee chose to believe the assistant referee, who was further away than the relevant players who told the referee that no such racist remark was made? The referee effectively acted as judge and jury, on a non-football related offence, in a fashion that goes against the presumption of innocence and the equitable principles of English Law. The Club believes that in similar circumstances in the future a more pragmatic and balanced approach should be taken. The referee, given the balance of evidence and the material potential for the assistant referee to have made a mistake, albeit honestly, should have noted the assistant referee’s comment and referenced the need for a further investigation after the game. In this way, balanced justice would have been served and the unnecessary glare of publicity would have been avoided. An alleged racist comment should always be investigated but the punishment cannot be handed down until due process has been followed, especially when it is circumstantial and indirectly heard from a considerable distance away from the incident. In our view, the FA should consider whether their protocols need to incorporate the adoption of such an approach advocated above, especially when it is far, far from certain that the any racist comment was made and it was not directly heard by the intended recipient but was communicated by a 3rd party. Notwithstanding the FA’s findings and subsequent statement, the consequences of the incident are, unfortunately, still extant. Conor Wilkinson has suffered reputational damage and online abuse. Accordingly, we have asked the FA to contact the assistant referee and ask for an apology for his error. We are not doubting his integrity; it was a simple mistake but one which had significant consequences. In this day and age, a simple apology would go a long way. Conor is also under a two game suspension which will mean he will potentially miss our first game of the season. We have asked the FA to rescind the suspension and expunge the sending off from Conor’s record. Finally, the Club has had to incur legal bills on Conor’s behalf which again would have been avoided had the referee chosen to adopt a more balanced and equitable approach. We are relieved that Conor’s innocence has been confirmed and we are delighted that he can now fully focus on preseason and the forthcoming birth of his first child.

Everyone at Solihull Moors is delighted to welcome Joe Sbarra back to the Club on a permanent basis ahead of the 2026/27 National League season, subject to league and FA approval. A familiar face to Moors supporters, Sbarra returns to Damson Park having enjoyed another hugely successful spell with the Club last season, finishing as the Moors’ top goalscorer and once again becoming a firm fans’ favourite. Joe’s connection with Solihull Moors stretches back to his first loan spell in 2019 and, since then, he has gone on to make 188 appearances in blue and yellow, scoring 41 goals and producing countless memorable moments along the way. A superb footballer on the pitch and a gentleman off it, Sbarra has played a key role in some of the most successful periods in the Club’s history. Having suffered two agonising play-off final defeats during his time with the Moors, supporters will be hoping it proves third time lucky as he commits his future to the Club. For many supporters, Moors has become Joe’s spiritual home, making his permanent return a major boost for Chris Millington’s squad ahead of the new campaign. Speaking on his return to Solihull Moors, Sbarra said: “ I’m absolutely over the moon to be rejoining the Moors! When I came back last year, it was like I’d never been away! I’m looking forward to making more memories and this time achieving the goal that was when I joined the club the very first time all those years ago, which is playing a part in getting this Club into the football league. I can’t wait for the new season to start and pick up where I left off last season!" Chris Millington, First Team Manager, added: “ This Club is developing an exciting record of iconic players building a rich history with the club. The announcement of Joe committing his future to the club is another example of the pull this club can have for fantastic local players. Me and the rest of the staff are really excited to have Joe in the ranks. He is a fantastic addition to the squad, he brings goals and excitement on the pitch and he has a great presence around the club off the pitch. With Joe comes a great deal of optimism for the upcoming season.” Everyone at Solihull Moors would like to welcome Joe back to the Club and wish him every success in blue and yellow once again.
