MOORS SIGNED RELIABLE SHOT STOPPER RYAN BOOT FROM PORT VALE ON 3 JULY 2018.
During his early years, Boot had been on the books at Stoke City but was released in 2010. He also had a trial at Fulham in 2013.
The goalkeeper turned professional at the age of 18 when he signed a two year contract at Port Vale in April 2013.
Boot ended up spending five years at Vale Park, during which, he played 28 times for the club and enjoyed loan spells at Worcester City, Newcastle Town and Macclesfield.
He joined the Moors in the summer of 2018, having been released by Vale after his contract expired. The number one went on to play every minute of every National League game in the 2018/19 season, keeping 20 clean sheets in the process.
In the last two seasons he has been an ever present between the sticks for Moors, recording 33 shut-outs in the league. No wonder the club were quick to tie him down to a contract extension in July this year.
