JIMMY SHAN GOT THE MAN HE WANTED WHEN RIGHT HAND MAN RICHARD BEALE BECAME MOORS' ASSISTANT MANAGER ON 5 MARCH 2020.
A former Solihull Borough full-back, Beale is best known for his time spent as a coach at Birmingham City, having first stepped through the doors at St Andrews in 2003. In working his way through the academy ranks, he coached the under 23’s and under 21’s over eight seasons.
He became Blues’ Senior Professional Development Coach and was instrumental in developing players like Nathan Redmond and Demarai Gray – both of whom now play in the Premier League.
In the summer of 2019, he made the cross-city switch to rivals Aston Villa where he took up the role of u18's coach. But his stay at Villa Park lasted less than a year as Beale joined as a member of Shan's backroom staff in March 2020.
