About

The Elite Academy at Solihull Moors is designed to facilitate the journey of young, aspiring local footballers.

Coaching will be provided by UEFA qualified coaches to ensure all players are receiving the very best development opportunities. The programme will also offer position-specific programmes for players to truly understand their roles and responsibilities.

Working closely with the First Team and newly formed B Team, players will often have the opportunity to train or play for the B Team if selected. The provision will include a full strength and conditioning programme to maximise physical development and promote a healthy lifestyle.

An analysis team will also support the work of the players and coaches, using specialist software to ensure feedback and reflection is carried out to support personal development. The programme is further enhanced by medical care to support injury prevention, rehabilitation, and facilitate a return to action for injured players.

About

The Elite Academy at Solihull Moors is the next piece of the jigsaw in our evolving and progressive football club. The integration of the Academy will help bridge the gap between youth football and the first team.

The aim is to become the leading club for youth development in the Midlands, supplementing the first team with local players and provide supporters with a team that is truly representative of our beloved local community.

This pathway will see young talent given the opportunity to not only develop their football ability but achieve academic success. At Solihull Moors, we pride ourselves on our community involvement and we believe it is our duty to support young people with a route to be successful both on and off the football pitch.

The Elite Academy will ensure all players are provided with the opportunity to either earn a professional contract, attend university or enter employment.

"To develop a player, it is paramount to develop the person as well. That's the core of this football club. We have got such a great catchment area, we are an elite level club. The dream would be to have a team of local players within half an hour of the stadium, representing the football club and the community."
