In the middle of a big Emirates FA Cup week for the Moors, who travel to Wigan Athletic in the first round on Saturday afternoon, we pause to round-up the latest news from across the various sections at the club…
On Wednesday 27th October 2021, our fabulous Holiday Camp players were treated to a special trip to the home of the 2019/20 Premier League champions and 2018 Champions League winners in Liverpool FC.
Our group travelled to Anfield to have a special tour in and around the whole stadium! The group came back with huge smiles on their faces after such a wonderful day on Merseyside, an experience that they will never forget!
At the end of the same week, they were also treated to one of our Solihull Moors first team players in Andrew Dallas coming down to hand out all medals and trophies following a fantastic few days of football fun!
To cap off the week, Moors celebrated Halloween during Saturday’s National League fixture with Yeovil Town.
There was Halloween fun and games within the Party Pieces Family Zone, as well as a best dressed half-time race on the pitch for those young Moors in spooky outfits!
Congratulations to the five that were entered into the race and thank you to all for making the fancy dress effort!

Once again, club sponsors Damson Homes provided one Moors supporter with £25 worth of club shop vouchers on the weekend.
All supporters had to do was send in their best matchday photo on social media, tagging Damson Homes to be entered into the prize draw.
Simon Gray was the lucky winner on Saturday for his selfie with club mascot Soli the Moorkat – congratulations!
This competition will be running on every home matchday so we urge supporters to get involved and share their snaps!
With Christmas around the corner, £25 in club shop vouchers make for the perfect gift for that Moors-mad fan in your life.
On the theme of club sponsor initiatives, we’d like to point you in the direction of shorts sponsor, Eric Lyons!
As you all know, their pies on a matchday are a real hit with all pastry and meat cooked in-house.
The business, established in 1903, has a family history spanning five generations and their sponsorship with Moors is fantastic for supporters and the local community.
With Christmas on the agenda, let us direct you to the Eric Lyons YouTube channel where you can enter their competiton to win a FREE Turkey! Click here: https://www.youtube.com/c/ericlyons
Simply subscribe to the channel and comment on a video with your best Christmas pun – on December 1st the winner will then be announced!
Last weekend, Dan Kembery and his Solihull Moors Women development side travelled to Long Eaton United Ladies as they eyed their first three points of the season away from home.
What followed was simply incredible as Moors came from a goal down at half-time to win 4-1. A brace from Caitlin Hirst, added to by goals from Ellie Curtis and Eboni Fowkes handed the side their first away win of the 2021/22 season!

It was a stunning start to the weekend for our Girls section as Shane Askew’s Under 12’s side made it back-to-back wins for just the second time this season as they put nine past Lillington Juniors to secure their fourth win of the season and move up to 4th in the table!
WHO WILL STOP THEM?! Jon Sims’ side continue to exceed expectations as they made it an unbelievable 22 wins in a row that stretched the gap at the top to eight points! It also means that their 100% start to the season continues as they produced a five-star display at Derby County Under 14’s!
There’s room for praise for Simon Burke and his Under 16’s side who managed to secure their first win of the season at the fifth attempt! They managed to battle to an entertaining 3-2 win against Boldmere Falcons Under 16 Girls!

It was yet again another superb weekend for Ashley Francis as his side made it back-to-back wins and followed up an impressive derby day victory with another display as they hit Walmley Colron Boys for four and moved up to 5th in the table!
Elsewhere, Simon Burke’s Under 14’s side made it five wins in a row in Division 3 as they captured a five-star display! It also leaves Burke’s men in 4th position and closing in on the summit sitting just five points off the top.
In other news, our fellow Under 14’s side, in Division 1 preserved their unbeaten start to the season as they stole a point right at the death against their local rivals Solihull Sporting in a tight affair as Moors stay 2nd, level on points with the league leaders!
It was the weekend that Craig Walton and his Under 16’s would have been hoping for! At the eighth time of asking, Moors secured their first win of the season in a local rival contest against Solihull Sporting as they came out on top with a 4-2 scoreline at the Abacus Lighting Community Arena!
