Solihull Moors welcome league leaders Sutton United to the SportNation.bet Stadium on Easter Monday.
Kick Off: 3pm
Here’s your full match preview...
Moors have found a bit of momentum in the last week, winning each of their last three games without conceding a goal.
Sutton lead the way in the National League and it’s no surprise, with the U’s on a run of 13 games without defeat.
In the Opposite Dugout – Matt Gray
Gray was appointed to his first managerial role at the beginning of May 2019 following the resignation of Paul Doswell, having originally joined the coaching staff the previous December.
He previously had spells as assistant manager at Eastleigh, Aldershot and Crawley, while as a player he began his career with Tottenham and played for Cardiff, Hayes and Havant & Waterlooville before being forced to retire early through injury.
One To Watch – Harry Beautyman
Attacking midfield player who re-joined Sutton in January 2018 from Stevenage. He originally joined U’s in summer 2011 after being released by Leyton Orient, where he had been reserve team captain, and went on to score 24 goals in 105 games over the next two seasons, winning the Supporters’ Club Player of the Year award in his first season and earning recognition at England C level. He joined Welling in 2013 and subsequently earned a move into the Football League with Peterborough the following year. He spent the 2016/17 campaign with Northampton before joining Stevenage at the start of the following season. He made his 200th appearance for Sutton last season, when his 17 goals from midfield earned him a clean sweep of the Club Player of the Year awards for which he was eligible, and inclusion in the National League team of the season, and scored his 50th goal for the club at the end of October.
The Moors will have Mitch Hancox available once again following a recent two-match suspension, but James Ball remains out as he serves the final game of his three-match ban.
Mark Yates is hoping to have Adam Rooney (groin) back in the mix after the striker missed Good Friday’s win at Barnet.
On-loan winger Ryan Barnett suffered a fractured eye socket at the Hive, so the Moors will be without the 21-year-old.
Long-term absentees Jamey Osborne, Callum Howe, Alex Gudger, Kyle Howkins, Stephen Gleeson and Nathan Cameron remain unavailable.
A limited number of hard copies have been produced for this Easter Monday clash, with edition number 14 packed full of all the Moors content you need.
