Moors announce that Paul Green has left the club to return to Tamworth FC in a player coach capacity where his influence in the dressing room will be paramount as the Lambs seek to get back into the Vanarama National North at their first attempt.

β€œGreeny” represented Tamworth on more than 100 occasions and was club captain before his move last season to ourselves

He will be part of the management team which sees Mike Fowler continue as Head Coach whilst Tim Harris, who engineered Newport County’s rise from Southern league to League Two, arrives from Gloucester City to take on the role of Director of Football.

Paul, who is the brother of ex Moors assistant manager Nick Green, started with the Aston Villa Academy before moves to Lincoln City, Forest Green Rovers and Tamworth. He can play anywhere behind the front men and is versatile in both defence and mid field.

He made 20 appearances last season for Moors and will be remembered fondly by the fans

We all wish him every success in his new role and thank him for what he brought to our club in a difficult season.
