Solihull Moors are delighted to have agreed a three-year partnership with mental health charity Living Well UK.

The Midlands-based charity will become one of Moors’ principal sponsors for both the men’s and women’s teams until the end of the 2022/23 season.

Making people aware of mental health is a cause very close to Moors' hearts, a club so dedicated to helping the community and those in need.

Living Well offer free health and wellbeing services to residents of Solihull, so striking an accord with them, was perfectly aligned to Moors’ community values.

Now more than ever, amid the increasing uncertainty brought on by the pandemic, people need assurance that there is support out there.

Becci Fox, CEO of the Solihull Moors Foundation believes partnering with Living Well will encourage fans and the community to start talking mental health.

“This partnership is a real game-changer,” she said. “Having a strong social support system is vital to maintaining mental health.

“It is estimated that four million people involved in grassroots football may experience mental health problems over the next 12 months.

“We hope this sponsorship will empower people to have a conversation about mental health through football, in whatever way they need.”

Ben Howells, CEO of the Living Well Group, is excited to become part of the Solihull family and work alongside Moors in raising mental health awareness.

“All of us at Living Well UK are tremendously excited to be working with the Solihull Moors team,” he said.

“We’re certain that with the Solihull Moors team on board, we can show that it’s okay to talk, no matter how big or small the problem may be.

“Now, more than ever, it is vital that people are thinking about their mental health as much as their physical health.

“Living Well UK offer free, expert support for those in Birmingham and Solihull, there’s help available for all that need it.”

The agreement means Living Well will be both seen and heard on home matchdays courtesy of a pitchside board and by way of substitution sponsor.

Living Well will also sponsor Moors’ newly introduced player of the month award as well as showing their support through a women’s gold sponsorship package.

For the remainder of this season, Moors Women defender Jess Lowe will be the beneficiary.

All aspects of the club will benefit from having Living Well on board and the club are excited to be able to champion such a worthwhile organisation for years to come.
