A comfortable win for our first years yesterday in the National League Alliance Cup. Despite going behind 2-0 early on, we came back with six goals before a late consolidation for the hosts
Moors started brightly and should’ve taken the lead in the first few minutes but wasted a couple of early chances.
Boston opened the scoring after a kick by their keeper was missed by the Moors back line and put the opposition winger in on goal.
Right back Elijah Tulloch was adjudged to have impeded the forward and a penalty was awarded which was duly dispatched.
A carbon copy of the first goal where the left winger went through on goal again before pulling back to the edge of the box with the oncoming player placing it in the top corner.
2-0 down and a lot to do but from here it was all Moors as they seemed to shake off the journey and click into gear.
A quick fire brace by the impressive Malachai Miller brought us level before Kai Singh ran through the middle and latched on to a brilliant through ball to put the young moors in to the lead.
After the break it was all Moors as the fourth, fifth and sixth followed and if it wasn’t for some wasteful finishing it could’ve been a lot more.
Ben Wallis finished off a great team move for the fourth at the second attempt.
Louie Gall finished after great work from the Moors midfield.
Then Harry Chesterton completed the scoring with a jinking run and sublime finish.
The late consolation penalty was scored to reduce the arrears before the game was brought to a climax. A long journey home for the lads made sweeter by being in the hat for the next round.
