Firstly, a massive thank you to St George and St Teresa Catholic Primary School for taking part in our Christmas programme competition.
We had entrants from across the school, ranging from Year 1 all the way up to Year 6 and the standard of work was excellent.
The students were given the task of designing a programme cover with a Moors and Christmas inspired theme.
One lucky winner would then be chosen to have their design printed onto the front of the matchday programme for Tuesday’s home game with Stockport County.
A huge pat on the back for all 22 children who entered the competition, there was a wonderful array of creativity on show.
It certainly gave the judging panel a tough decision to make and in the end it was decided both Aoife Furlong and Henry Murphy would see their work displayed on the cover.
Aoife was announced the winner for her very festive spin on a Moors game, pitting snowman against gingerbread men, complete with candy cane goalposts.
However, a special mention has to also go to Henry whose Christmas take on the Moors badge has taken pride of place on the programme.
In total there were five winners who will all be treated to a special day at the training ground in February half-term.
Overall Winner: Aoife Furlong
Runner-Up: Henry Murphy
Year 1 Winner: Bobby Grant
Year 2 Winner: Max Godfrey
Year 4 Winner: Mikey Byrne
These lucky people will have the chance to not only watch their favourite Moors stars up close in action, but also meet and greet them after training.
Aoife, Henry, Bobby, Max and Mikey will take to the pitch at half-time on Tuesday so let’s make sure they get a fantastic Moors welcome!
