Spennymoor Town has given the following  visitors information for our long trip to the North East this coming Saturday.

This match will be played to a result on Saturday with extra time and penalties if required. There will be no replay

Our usual preview of the Match will appear on the club website this Friday but to enable fans to plan their journey the back up details are published herewith

Travelling Supporters Ground Directions:

At Junction 56, continue forward on to the A1(M). Leave the A1(M) at Junction 60, then at the roundabout take the first exit on to the A689.

At Rushyford roundabout, take the third exit on to the A167.

At roundabout, take the third exit and continue on A167.

At Thinford roundabout, take the first exit on to the A688.

At roundabout, take the first exit and continue on the A688.

At roundabout, take the third exit on to St Andrews Lane.

At roundabout, take the first exit and continue on St Andrews Lane.

At mini-roundabout, take second exit on to King Street,

At mini-roundabout, take second exit on to King Street/Durham Road. Bear right on to Durham Road and take third exit on left on to Wood Vue.

Nearest Railway Station: Durham (6.1 miles away and a 15-minute journey in a taxi)

Car Parking

Parking at the ground is currently for players and officials with limited disabled supporter parking which must be booked prior to the fixture date by contacting Steven Lawson on 07871206474 or stevenlawson_16@hotmail.co.uk.

Supporters are requested to respect the surrounding areas and show consideration to neighbouring residents. The local police teams may ticket cars that are illegally or inconsiderately parked.

Durham Road and Wood Vue tend to be very congested on match days so our fans should use the main Car Parks in the town centre, which are a short walk from the ground. Parking is free. Don’t however use the Iceland / Home Bargains car park as you are liable to get a fine or clamped after a couple of hours.

Our supportrs may also wish to bear in mind that located within a 10-minute walk of Brewery Field is Tudhoe Victory Club, an official club partner which welcomes away supporters. (67 York Villas DL16 6LP).   Spennymoor Town is  prepared to offer free parking for comfortably up to 100 cars or 6-8 coaches  for visiting fans on the club’s substantial car park.

All spectators are advised to arrive at the ground at  least half an hour before kick off to avoid potential congestion at the turnstiles in Wood Vue & Tees Crescent which will be open from 1:30pm for both sets of supporters.

 

Admission:

Adult: £12   Concessions: £8 (over 60’s), Juniors: (Under11 – 18) £3, Under 10:  Free (with paying adult)

Ground Information

Once inside the ground there are 226 seats available for supporters in the Ramside Hall Estates main stand. These seats are available on a first come first served basis, there will be no reservations on seats for supporters.

The supporter’s marquee bar in the ground will be open from 1:30pm and is available to visiting supporters. It is located next to the main stand and whilst U18’s are welcome an adult member of their family should accompany them.

 Refreshment area facilities will also be open and available from 1:30pm,

Any persons that are deemed to be intoxicated and are a cause for concern may be refused entry. 

 

Away coaches will drop supporters off at The Moors Tavern, which is open from 11am 

The Moors Tavern is the club’s official clubhouse and is open to home and away supporters before and after the game (King Street Spennymoor DL16 6QH) – just 80 metres from the Tees Crescent turnstile at The Brewery Field.

The Moors Tavern is a community pub in the heart of Spennymoor.  It is affiliated with, Spennymoor Town FC, which makes it a perfect pre and post match destination for fans of the football club and visiting teams.  But the pub has been clear from the day it opened its doors in August 2016 that it was not just a football clubhouse and serves the community of Spennymoor every day with live music, affordable prices and a friendly welcoming atmosphere, perfect for families.
