Jamey Osborne has his say on Orient win
*'The main thing was getting the three points' - by Luke Turner*

Solihull Moors midfielder Jamey Osborne only had three points on his mind as the team beat Leyton Orient 1-0 at The Automated Technology Group Stadium.

Osborne returned to The Moors on a one-month loan from Grimsby Town on Friday and made the most of his homecoming with a man of the match display.

He said: “It’s my first game back at Solihull and we’re in a bit of a relegation scrap. Leyton Orient are a big club who shouldn’t really be where they are, but they were there to beat and the main thing was getting the three points today.

“I’m gutted I didn’t get a couple myself because I had a few good chances. To be fair the keeper pulled off a good save and there were a couple of good blocks from their left-back.

“The main thing was getting the three points whether it was 1-0, 2-0 or 5-0. It’s three points and we’re closer to the rest of the pack.”

The 25-year-old has been working his way back from a knee ligament injury, with the chance to come back to The Moors giving him the perfect opportunity to work his way back to full fitness and give the side extra quality.

“I’m back home for personal reasons and football reasons. Obviously here is for football reasons and I’m here to get fit, play well, enjoy my football and get back to 100% again.”

Next up in the league for Solihull is a trip to face Chester who are managed by former boss Marcus Bignot and stand just two points above Mark Yates’ men – a test that Osborne is relishing.

“It’s another big game. I still speak to Marcus as well, he wanted me at Chester but I chose to come closer to home with a couple more games than they have which was also a bonus.

“Marcus has done a lot for me and it’ll be a good game whatever happens. Hopefully we can get the three points and come closer to Chester as well.”
