Ladies suffer first defeat of the season
*Kerry Lenihen reports from Tally-Ho!*
PUBLISHED: 8th Oct 17

The Ladies welcomed equally high flying Loughborough Foxes WFC to Tally Ho this Sunday for a top of the table clash, with both teams aiming to remain unbeaten in the league.

It was a slow start for the Moors who were lucky not to be behind in the first 10 mins after some good football by foxes forced Woolley in to a great save. This set the theme for the first half unfortunately with Moors struggling to gain possession or create anything. However Foxes also found it hard to beat the inform Woolley as she continued to keep them out. A fairly uneventful first 45 minutes with both teams failing to light up the pitch.

HT 0-0

After the break Moors finally started to play football and had the first chance of the second half but the shot from White was well saved by the Foxes Keeper. Moors continued to press for the opener but on 65 Foxes were rewarded a penalty after Hargreaves pulled the Foxes striker back. A sublime penalty straight into the top corner put Foxes 1 up. 1-0 66'. Moors tried to push for the equaliser but for the first time this season were unable to find the net. The game came to a slow and finished in the Ladies first defeat of the season.

FT 1-0 Foxes'

Assistant Manager Natalie Courtney gives her thoughts here:

"Disappointed with the performance but the girls worked hard in the second half, we go in to Sunday wanting to get our FA cup off to a winning start away to Redditch. Im sure the girls will bounce back with a win.
