Academy Players Sign Forms for Moors
Moors Reward Academy Stars
PUBLISHED: 1st Mar 17

Despite our game against Torquay United being called off at the last minute, there were plenty of happy faces at the Automated Technology Group Stadium on Tuesday night as four of our Academy players signed first team forms for the Moors.

Marshall Willock is still just 16 years old but at 6’ 2” tall had developed into a formidable centre back.  Born in Birmingham he had previously been at Walsall FC as a schoolboy. Marshall joined our Academy this season and has already been out on trial at Blues and Scunthorpe. Moreover having played Grimsby recently he was immediately invited to trial with them too but sees his immediate future with Solihull.

Tyrese Shade is also 16 and Birmingham born. At 6 foot tal, he plays wide on either flank or in any attacking position. Highly athletic and skilful, he will go a long way as he matures. Tyrese spent 9 years with Blues Academy and was released at 15 years old.  Like Marshall, he was outstanding recently against Grimsby and they offered to take him on trial. Again he sees his immediate future here with us.

Another Birmingham born 6 footer is Reiss McNally. Reiss is a defender in the Michael Nottingham mold, and is the youngest player at our Academy not reaching 17 until August. He joined Academy Moors this year and has attracted interest from Blues and more recently Grimsby where he particularly impressed their Academy manager Neil Woods. He was previously at Coventry City and Wolves as a schoolboy.

All 3 of the above players have represented the County this year in every game.

Josh Endall is 16 years old and is still at CTC Kingshurst Academy in year 11. He was born in Birmingham and lives with Mom Lisa.

Josh was a trialist at Academy Moors trials in February half term and whilst there caught the eye of Liam Mc Donald. Liam invited him to train with the first team which he has done ever since. He is 6’2” tall and can play left back or centre back. He is a very talented technical player and very level headed

Mark Fogarty said “I first came across Josh when I was working at Walsall FC and signed him as a young Schoolboy. On his release from Walsall and I again signed him at Coventry City. I honestly feel that Josh has the ability to play at a high level and so does the Manager.

Liam McDonald has put his faith in these 4 Academy prospects. They join Calum Coyle who signed for the club a few weeks ago. We have high hopes for the future. It just shows that with the right care and attention players mature at different stages and so long as someone believes in them, it is never too late”.
